This is the 1990 documentary "Child of Rage: A Story of Abuse" produced by Gaby Monet based on interviews conducted with the film's real-life inspiration, Beth Thomas. It aired on HBO as part of their America Undercover series. The film consists of interviews with Beth, followed by her treatment and partial recovery at a special center for kids. Two years later in 1992, Child of Rage became a CBS Television movie starring Ashley Peldon and Mel Harris. The film was based on the true story of Beth Thomas and was shot in Vancouver, British Columbia, with classroom scenes being filmed at Mary Hill Elementary School.
